For your X (Twitter) account

Delete all your X posts, or just the ones that break the rules.

PrunePosts bulk-deletes your X (Twitter) posts, replies and reposts, and its AI review checks every post against X's own published rules, so you can delete everything or only the posts that could get you in trouble.

  • Nothing deleted until you confirm
  • Practice run first
  • Posts older than 3,200 from your free archive

How it works

Three steps, and you decide at every one.

  1. Sign in with X

Approve PrunePosts on x.com. Your newest posts load in a minute; add your free X archive to reach everything older than your newest 3,200.

  2. Choose what goes

Pick everything, or filter by date, type, keyword and likes. Or let the AI review flag the posts that may break X's rules, each with the rule and the reason.

  3. Practice, confirm, delete

Run a practice round that deletes nothing, download a backup, then confirm. PrunePosts deletes at the pace X allows, and you can pause at any time.

What the AI review checks

All 18 policies in the X Rules.

How long it takes

Why deleting takes hours, not seconds.

X lets an app delete 50 posts per account every 15 minutes: about 200 an hour, or 4,800 a day. PrunePosts sends each batch of 50 in under a minute, then waits for X's next window. You can pause, close the tab and come back.

1,000About 5 hours
4,800About 1 day
10,000About 2 days
25,000About 5 days

X allows 50 post deletions per account every 15 minutes (X API rate limits, checked October 22, 2026). Every tool that deletes through X's official API shares this limit.

Built to be careful

Deleting is permanent. PrunePosts acts like it.

  • Practice run firstGo through every step and see exactly what would go, without deleting anything.
  • Backup before you deleteDownload what you are about to delete as a spreadsheet, a data file or a printable page.
  • Nothing goes until you confirmReal deletion starts only after you confirm the number of posts.
  • At X's paceDeletes in bursts of 50, waits for X's next 15-minute window on its own, and can pause and resume.
  • Honest about blind spotsThe AI reads text, not images or linked pages. Posts that depend on context it can't see are marked Possible and never pre-selected.
  • Leaves no copiesOnce a post is deleted, PrunePosts erases its stored copy. Signing out can erase everything.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

How do I delete all my tweets at once?

X has no bulk delete: its Help Center says posts can only be deleted one by one. A bulk tool such as PrunePosts deletes them for you through X's API, which allows 50 deletions every 15 minutes per account, so 10,000 posts take about two days. Your X archive lets it reach posts older than your newest 3,200.

Every option, step by step

Is PrunePosts free?

No. PrunePosts has no free tier: every post it reads from X, every deletion and every AI check costs money, so each is paid for out of a plan. Subscriptions start at $4.99 a month, and a one-time Clean-up Pass is $49. Uploading your X archive costs nothing, and when a plan's usage runs out, work pauses and carries on after you upgrade, without reading or paying for any post twice.

See every plan

Why does deleting take hours instead of seconds?

X limits every app to 50 post deletions per account every 15 minutes, which is 200 an hour or about 4,800 a day. PrunePosts sends each batch of 50 in under a minute, then waits for X's next window. You can pause and resume at any time.

Can it delete posts older than my newest 3,200?

Yes. X's API only lists an account's newest 3,200 posts, so PrunePosts reads your X archive, which lists every post you have made. Uploading the archive is free, and only the posts files leave your computer.

How the archive upload works

What does the AI review check?

Every post, reply and quote post is read against the full text of X's published rules: 18 policies in four groups (Safety, Privacy, Authenticity and Intellectual property). Each flagged post shows the rule it may break, a severity and a one-line reason, and you decide whether it stays or goes.

How the AI review works

Will deleting old posts stop my account from being suspended?

It lowers the risk, but no tool can promise it. A deleted post can no longer be reported. Deleting doesn't undo enforcement that already happened, and X also looks at behavior, not just posts. If your account is already suspended, file an appeal with X.

Can old tweets get you suspended?

What happens to my data?

Your archive is opened in your browser and only the posts files are uploaded, never your messages, photos or videos. Post text is sent to an AI model only to be checked, and PrunePosts never uses your posts to train AI. When a post is deleted, PrunePosts erases its copy, and signing out can erase everything.

Is PrunePosts part of X?

No. PrunePosts is not affiliated with X Corp. It uses X's official API and X's published rules, and it is not endorsed by X.
