Privacy policy
PrunePosts keeps only what it needs to load, check and delete your posts, and erases a post's copy as soon as the post is deleted.
Who runs PrunePosts
PrunePosts (pruneposts.com) is an independent service. It is not affiliated with X Corp. Write to support@pruneposts.com about anything on this page.
What PrunePosts keeps
- Your X account: its id, handle and name, and the sign-in token X gives PrunePosts after you approve it on x.com. The token is encrypted, and PrunePosts never sees your X password.
- Your posts: the posts, replies, reposts and likes you load from X or from your X archive. Your archive is opened in your browser and only its posts files are uploaded, never your messages, photos or videos.
- AI review results and your choices: each post's verdict, the rule and the reason, and whether you kept or deleted it. When a post is deleted, its text is erased; your history keeps only that it was deleted.
- Your plan: your plan, what you have used, and your payments' amounts and status. Stripe handles your card; PrunePosts never receives card numbers.
- Server logs: the pages and API calls requested, with IP addresses shortened, query strings removed and cookies left out, kept for 14 days to keep the service running and safe.
Cookies
PrunePosts sets one cookie, to keep you signed in. It does not use tracking or analytics cookies of its own.
Some pages may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses this data in Google's advertising policies.
Who else handles your data
- X receives the read and delete requests for your account, through X's official API.
- xAI, through its Grok API, receives the text of the posts you ask it to check, only to check them. PrunePosts never uses your posts to train AI models.
- Stripe processes payments and keeps the payment details you give it.
- Microsoft Azure hosts the server that stores your data.
- Google serves ads on some pages, as described above.
PrunePosts does not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Your posts and results are kept until you delete the posts, erase them, or sign out and choose to erase everything. Payment records are kept as long as accounting rules require. Server logs are kept for 14 days.
Your choices
- Sign out and choose to erase everything PrunePosts keeps about your account.
- Remove PrunePosts from your X account at any time in X's settings, under connected apps.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction or its deletion by writing to support@pruneposts.com.
Children
PrunePosts is not for children under 13, the minimum age to use X.
Visit statistics
To know how many people visit PrunePosts, which pages they use and which countries they come from, the site measures visits with Microsoft Azure Application Insights, in PrunePosts' own Azure subscription (region Mexico Central). This is what is measured and what isn't:
- No cookies. Your browser's storage keeps a random, anonymous visitor id (not your name, email or X account) for up to 13 months and a session id that renews after 30 minutes without activity. You can clear them whenever you like.
- Only the page's general route, such as /pricing or /guides/:slug. Never your posts, what you type, your X handle, or the full address of the page; of the site you came from, only its name (such as google.com).
- Approximate location: Azure derives the country and city from your IP address and stores the address with its last block masked. The browser and operating system type and how long the page took to load are recorded too.
- Your choice is respected. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the statistics never load and nothing about the visit is sent. Each visit is labeled as a person, a search engine or an automated tool, so robots don't count as people.
- Kept for 30 days and used only by PrunePosts to measure and improve the site; never for advertising, and never linked to your account or your posts.
