Service 1 ยท Bulk delete

Delete all your tweets, or exactly the ones you pick

Mass delete your X posts, replies, reposts and likes in bulk, including everything older than your newest 3,200. Practice run first, and nothing goes until you confirm.

In short

PrunePosts deletes your X posts in bulk through X's official API: everything, or only posts that match a date, type, keyword or like count. It reaches posts older than your newest 3,200 through your free X archive, and deletes at X's limit of 50 posts every 15 minutes, about 4,800 a day. You can try 10 deletes free; packs start at $15 for 500.

What you can delete

  • Posts and replies. Every one, or only those matching your filters.
  • Reposts. Undo reposts of other people's posts.
  • Likes. Remove old likes, at up to 1,000 a day (X's limit).
  • Everything older than your newest 3,200. X's API only lists your newest 3,200 posts; your free X archive lists the rest. How the archive upload works.

Delete posts on X in five steps

  1. Sign in with X

Approve PrunePosts on x.com. Your newest posts, up to 3,200, load through X's API.

  2. Add your archive for older posts

Drop in the .zip X emails you. It is opened in your browser and only the posts files are uploaded, so every post you have made is listed.

  3. Choose what goes

Delete everything, or filter by date, type (posts, replies, reposts), keyword and likes. You see the count and the exact price first.

  4. Practice run and backup

Run a practice round that deletes nothing, and download a backup of what is about to go.

  5. Confirm and let it run

Confirm the number of posts. PrunePosts deletes 50 every 15 minutes, the most X allows, and you can pause and resume at any time.

How long mass deleting takes

X lets an app delete 50 posts per account every 15 minutes. PrunePosts sends each batch of 50 in under a minute and then waits for X's next window, so the real speed is about 200 posts an hour, or 4,800 a day.

1,000About 5 hours
4,800About 1 day
10,000About 2 days
25,000About 5 days

X allows 50 post deletions per account every 15 minutes (X API rate limits, checked October 22, 2026). Every tool that deletes through X's official API shares this limit.

Tools that click through x.com in your browser aren't bound by the API limit, but they depend on X's web pages, and one free script's own instructions warn that automating deletion may get an account banned (TweetXer on GitHub).

Delete everything, or only what matters?

If you want a fresh start, delete everything. If you want to keep your account and your history but lose the posts that could get it reported, the AI review checks every post against X's own rules first, and you delete only what it flags and you approve.

What it costs

Prices in US$. There is no free tier: every post read from X, every deletion and every AI check costs money, so each is paid for out of your plan, and work pauses at the plan's limit instead of charging you more.

Uploading your X archive costs nothing, while reading posts through X's API uses your plan at X's price of half a cent a post. What uses your plan, and what happens at the limit.

Questions

Can you mass delete tweets?

Not inside X: its Help Center says posts can only be deleted one by one. A bulk tool can mass delete tweets for you. PrunePosts does it through X's official API, 50 posts every 15 minutes, for as many posts as you choose.

How long does it take to delete 10,000 tweets?

At least two days. X allows 50 deletions per account every 15 minutes, about 4,800 a day, and every tool that uses X's official API has the same limit. Removing likes is slower still: X allows 1,000 unlikes a day.

Can I delete tweets before a certain date?

Yes. Set an end date and PrunePosts lists only the posts before it, including ones older than your newest 3,200 once your archive is uploaded. Add a start date, a type or a keyword to narrow it further.

Can I keep some posts?

Yes. Filter out what you want to keep, or use the AI review to pick only the posts that may break X's rules. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.

Does deleting a tweet remove it everywhere?

It removes the post and its reposts from X. It can't remove screenshots, quotes other people wrote, or copies other sites cached. Download your X archive first, because X can't restore deleted posts.

Is there a free way to delete all tweets?

Deleting one by one in X is free. PrunePosts has no free tier, because every deletion it sends costs money, and some browser-based tools are free; the comparison page lists them with sources.
